National Preparedness Month is observed each September. The objective is to raise awareness about the importance of being prepared for disasters and emergencies. A large part of being prepared is being aware. Survivors of the recent tragedy in Hawaii all relate similar stories. They had a feeling that something was wrong, and they got out. Listen to your instincts. Pay attention to your surroundings. If something or someone gives you a bad feeling, don't ignore it.
Remember, awareness is preparedness.
