Tacos and Talent 2026!Thank you Church family! What a wonderful evening of fellowship, fun, food, and celebration at this year’s Tacos & Talent Night! Because of your generosity, we are thrilled to share that together we raised $2,871 to support Co-Mission Camp 2026 and our local youth ministries.
Thank you as well to everyone who attended, encouraged, volunteered, donated, and gave so generously. Your support helps make Co-Mission Camp possible—a week where students grow in their faith, serve in Christ’s love, and engage in God’s mission through hands-on service projects that bless our community and local ministry partners. A special thank you to Deb and Tim Rilley for donating the beautiful baskets, to Myra Curtis and Roman’s Oasis for supplying the amazing dinner, and to Carla for faithfully serving as our Wednesday night Mid-Week@CLP chef. Thank you to Betty Martello for leading our Mid-Week ministry, to Fred Cochrane for making dish duty his personal ministry, to Judy Mercy for coordinating the talent, and to Chanca Morrell and Kelly for being such fantastic MCs throughout the evening. We are deeply grateful for the spirit of joy, generosity, and community that filled the room.

Update on Onalo (Our CLP Open Arms sponsored child)
Dear Members of The Church at Litchfield Park, Thank you so much for sponsoring Onalo at Open Arms Home for Children! I am deeply grateful for the profound difference you continue to make in his life!! As you can see, you are bringing much joy and love to his life! Onalo sends you his gratitude and love for your generous sponsorship! He is doing very well these days! Onalo is now 8 years old and will turn 9 on September 11. He is in 3rd grade at East London Montessori School this year. Onalo continues to enjoy school, and he has a lot of friends in his class. Onalo is one of nine Open Arms children who attends Montessori – the school goes through 9th grade and then the children transfer to a traditional high school. Recently, Onalo went to see the movie Zootopia 2. He loved the movie and would like to watch it again someday. Thank you for making such outings possible for Onalo! Onalo continues to live in the white house at Open Arms. He is one of 7 boys in that house – there is a lot of energy in that particular cottage! To burn off his energy, Onalo often plays soccer against the older boys. He is quick on his feet and doesn’t seem to be intimidated competing against older boys. It is fun to see him compete against boys twice his size. Onalo continues to pretend to be a superhero in his spare time and loves playing with trucks as well. He is an active child who likes to stay on the move. Despite his natural energy, Onalo’s third grade teacher reports that his behavior is excellent in the classroom. Obviously, he knows how to channel and manage his energy levels. Thank you for playing such a pivotal role in Onalo’s life. He is a very vibrant and happy-go-lucky boy who benefits each day from your generous support. We know you share our pride in his progress! |
