Rev. Ted Brandt said "yes" to the call to serve our congregation as Senior Pastor in 2024.
After growing up in New York and New England, Pastor Ted received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bryant University. He went on to earn his Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary while pastoring his first congregation near Boston. Pastor Ted went on to study for a year in Jerusalem and Galilee, returning to lead churches in New England for a decade. Ted served for the next seven years in Zimbabwe as both professor and pastor, followed by 17 years serving as a pastor and chaplain in California, where he started a dinner church with his wife, Cathy. Cathy, whose daughter is in college, is a development director and event planner for a charter school network that serves underprivileged young people who dropped out of traditional schools.
Ted loves to visit his adult kids; they are spread out across the US in California, Massachusetts, and Chicago. Ted spends his free time playing tennis, cooking with Cathy, thrifting, and watching his favorite New England pro sports teams.
